HistoryOlde Town Club House
In 1924 the Bridgewater Golf Club was formed. The Heckman farm in Bridgewater was acquired and a  nine hole, 2,500 yard course laid out. Construction began in 1926 and opened in 1928. The present day club house (see picture) was constructed in 1977 after two previous clubhouses were destroyed by fire in 1968 and 1976. The 9 hole course changed it's name to Olde Town in 1998.

The Course
The course is hilly and very tight, with lots of mature trees. Combined with elevated greens, bunkers, water hazards and 'out of bounds' provide any golfer with a challenge. The course also provides many excellent views of the town of Bridgewater and the country side for the golfer to enjoy. Hole number 1 is only 260 yards but the green is greatly elevated from the tee and is protected by bunkers. Hole number 4, a 197 yard par 3,  plays from an elevated tee to another bunker protected green.  The par 5, 8th hole is straight downhill, but is narrow with 'out of bounds' on the left and trees on the right.
