The Nova Scotia Golf Association

The Nova Scotia Golf Association is currently seeking a Summer Student to fill the position of Tournament Coordinator. The successful applicant must be registered in a full time post secondary program and MUST be returning in the fall. For a complete job description please see below:

About the NSGA:

  • The NSGA is the governing body of Amateur Golf in Nova Scotia.

Applicants Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in multi-year college or university program.
  • Must have superior oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Travel within the province is required.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated and organized.
  • Knowledge of the game of golf is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and criminal record check will be required.

Specific Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate the Provincial Player of the Year.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Nova Scotia Public Player Program.
  • Work with tournament committee to organize and deliver best in class Provincial Championships.
  • Prepare operational reports and press releases.
  • Coordinate and deliver various membership services.
  • Successful applicant will report to the Executive Director.

Salary:

  • $10.50 per hour based on a 40 hour week.
  • Start date is May 3, 2010 through August 27, 2010.
