NSGA Murray Purcell Bursary Program
Every year the NSGA awards
$15,000.00 to its members in the form of bursaries to help students
pay for post secondary education. The Nova Scotia Golf
Association is very pleased announce the dedication of the
bursary program in memory
Murray Purcell.
Murray worked with the NSGA for over 15 years and was
instrumental in creating many of the programs that exist today,
including the bursary program.
"Murray Purcell always had a special interest in Junior
golf. I can think of no better way to honour his memory than
dedicating the Bursary program to him. It just seems to be a
perfect fit." said NSGA president Sue Rait.
The Murray Purcell Bursary Program is designed to assist
NSGA members in
continuing their education. Amounts will be reviewed and set
annually by the Association. |
